Spring 2009

Abandoned Gallery

Abandoned Gallery was created in 2007 by the artists Emma Philipson, Kristian Körner and Robert Moreau. In February 2008 curator Anna Norberg joined the group and the concept was developed further more. When exhibitions are presented the spectator can only see and experience the current exhibition through a glass door, the gallery space can only be entered during openings. Speakers are placed outside the gallery to enable sound to be heard, it is thus possible to show a video even though the gallery is abandoned. In 2009 the concept has been reworked, our direction is video based art, events and workshops. The idea is not complicated - Abandoned Gallery wants to create a relaxed atmosphere for those interested in art and popular-culture.
